BTBE Introduction to Engineering
Interactive Lab Kit

A Comprehensive Educational Experience
Originally developed to supplement the University of Florida’s Introduction to Engineering Course, this lab kit introduces what it means to be an engineer. Included are 12 unique activities that each represent a different field of engineering, but also show how individual disciplines can work together to achieve shared goals.
Physical Features
Students assemble and interact with their very own “live” 3d-printed mechatronic baby alligator! Throughout included activities, students engage with their cold-blooded reptile as its head motion-tracks light sources, body responds to touch and temperature, tail bends and swivels, and much more!

Thinking Beyond The Box
In addition to the included hardware, students and educators are provided a virtual assembly guide, a lab manual, and a lab journal. Those can be downloaded right here, for free!
